just wanna say, i m blessed by you all!just knowing that i have the KNIGHTS to back me whenever i need, whether in good times or bad times!!so, as i celebrated my 23rd, i gave thanks for this lovely and awesome class i have. despite us all SO DIFFERENT, i think we have accommodated each other!!

and june 5. PIGGY getting baptised!! and to the other few who got baptised 5june 2005, HAPPY BDAY!!:)

hmm..time passes really fast. Just like today!GRACE GRADUATED ALREADY!!!

not too long ago, we got closer. not too long ago we studied tog in those small rooms. not too long ago we were attending peixun. not long at all ago we just went uni!!

Anyways, I believe god has a purpose for everything and i m just glad that we are still making an effort to try to meet up despite ALL ODDS.

cOngrats to yingshin for your final exams are O-V-E-R !!

miss piggy still has 3 more.. but the problem is,

tuesday -> food chem ends at 5pm..
wednesday -> food preservation starts at 8.45am..

so on tuesday, after eating dinner, i wouldnt have much time to study and would have to sleep early.. that is my biggest worry.. i am trying my best to even the study time out over the weekends.. but as usual, my planning always turn out soo "flexible"..

but the good thing is, i am already into the mood of "exams are gonna be over".. haha.. coz some year one residents have already finished theirs and have gone home.. in a way, it is good so the house is quiet.. haha..

okie, that aside.......

this afternoon i was randomly looking at some past photos.. it was the ones taken after the badminton session.. o my goodnesss.. i had a goood laugh..

1) the guys look sooo auntie at the supermarket.. haha..
2) we jaywalked outside bp plaza.. haha..
3) we were crossing petir road when the red man was on.. haha..

seriously, my face practically chou jing-ed from all the laughter.. O.o''''

ALSO, YESTERDAY i used my FIRST tiger balm back plaster (that flew all the way from spore).. my back was still sore from last friday's paper.. my back was practically bent for three whole hours.. when the exam ended, i couldnt even stand up ! the plaster was quite cool.. there was an additional adhesive thing.. as though tiger balm plasters had ''upgraded".. haha..

okie, i think my relax time is over.. just want to share with you a verse from my quiet time today..

HEllo guys!

january is coming to an end!in fact, as of the time i m typing now, there is only 1 hour to feb and counting down!!time flies man..so guess we all have to make each day of our lives more fulfilling!

anyway, for those who came for tuan qi today, we decided we should take turns to lead bible study!Everyone has a chance. We did bible study 2 today, so for 14/2 we will be doing the 3rd bible study.

here is goes:

Hmm..actually, dun need to stress!we are a class so when we come tog for discussion, the one leading merely just help to facilitate:) And, doubt we have time for all the questions, so the one leading just choose the questions we will discuss in depth and the rest can always raise other questions u all feel u all are unsure and want to discuss. After we have discussion this week for example, the following week, Pr yip will also ask if we have questions to ask abt wat we have discussed!

Yea!may we encourage each other to do the bible study!

Another thing!we discussed and felt that we should try to write sermon notes!Yea, and we will set every 4th week of each month's tuan qi group time, to share abt something we wrote down for that month's sermon!so 4choose 1 to share!(4 sermons, choose 1) I m sure God will be joyous in seeing us pull each other tog and crave for his word!Together we can one ok?

today is the last day of august.. how's everyone ?

today i met up with ying shin !! *smilez..

i made sure that i slept early last night so i wouldnt miss the bus this morning.. woke up very early lor.. anyway, it was worth it i must say.. coz i got to see ying shin !!!! hahaa.. i met her at her apartment lobby and we walked to her church.. then she intro me her friends and we had lunch together.. then we walked back to her apartment coz i wanna check it out.. haha.. quite spacious wor.. then she accompany me to the shopping centre to walk walk..

very simple day YET very worth it.. such a fulfilling day.. =)

piggy has reached aussie land safely..

i have a little story to tell.. the person sitting beside me was a late-middle age man.. ok maybe 60 plus yar ? so there was once he had to go toilet, when he returned, i smelled cigarettes so meaning that he smoked in the toilet.. then about 15 minutes later, there was an overhead announcement saying " it is by australian law that this is a non-smoking flight. we have come to find out that someone smoked in the toilet and it could endanger the safety of the flight. " and they mentioned something about the australian customs etc.. anyway, when the plane was reaching australia, he had gone to the toilet 2 other more times and as usual, smelt like cigarettes whenever he returned to the seat.. when the plane was reaching destination, an air steward came over and passed him his passport and a document to fill up.. so i supposed they knew it was him.. when the plane landed, seat belts sign went off, he made a dash to leave the plane.. and the air steward was like using the intercom to speak to someone in the front of the plane, notifying the other party that the guy was already making his way to the exit.. anyway, so that is the story.. basically, i was sitting next to a _______ man.. (dunnoe what word to use) (dangerous ? inconsiderate ? scary ? weird ?)

anyway, weather is cold.. i am cold.. haha..

G and A, sorry.. that is what i am afraid most.. that such thing will happen whenever one wants to surprise someone.. that is why i discourage pop-upz at the airport.. i know it is xing yi but the visit was sufficient.. just hope you understand what i am trying to say.. maybe it is just difference in character..

Got that reply in a joking manner after I jokingly made a spiteful comment.

But now thinking about it, I guess a lot of times in life we could apply this statement.

Be it small things like thinking whether to have a regular or large meal at a fastfood restaurant, to more significant things like deciding whether to run for committee elections or choosing your committee, to much bigger things like thinking which path to take after tertiary education or wondering if you have gotten over a particular someone.

Many times we just need to tell ourselves - 'You know it in your heart.'

okok so anyways, i finally finished ROMANS!! woohooo!! so chim man! ok lah not chim per se, but it's just that thr's a lot of wat i would say are christian fundamentals in thr that the amt of stuff i jot down is indeed a sheer lot! just wanna share a few here with you ppl my thots along the past 2 weeks while reading:

How true it is that all things that happen work together! even what may seem wrong in our eyes is indeed what will be a tool in completing His perfect plan! :)

If one day my thoughts are being read by people, and my past deeds and actions be laid out explicitly in front of everyone, how badly I would have been stoned to death!

Indeed, that was one thought that struck me real badly during sermon today. We all have hidden sins that we are not comfortable with sharing, things that we rather be kept in the dark and never be revealed.

As a class, as we share about our tough times and down times, it's not a time for us to be vindictive and judge others - like trying to find a chance to condemn and stone others; I guess it's more of willing to share our weaknesses [be it spiritual, emotional, physical or mental] and encourage each other on, keeping each other in check. Yea, definitely it's not going to be a nice process to be put through, having people constantly reminding you about your weakness which just makes you feel embarrassed and sinful, but I think that's the refining process, the moulding process we all have to go through in order to come out as gold refined in fire.

Next week's gonna be our class prayer meeting! May we all be frank with ourselves to commit ourselves to the Lord, and if the Lord is willing, may we share our weaknesses to help one another as a class - not to disgrace or shame anyone, but to edify one another in Christ such that Solomon Knights will be a place we all feel comfortable to call home and be ourselves.

Yeah kindof ideal I know. Anyways, jiayou ppl for your week. Been quite some time since I did a random shoutout here.. Hehh..

hello my dear solomon knights..

so i went to camp retreat over the easter weekend and i learnt a few stuffs.. and some challenging questions.. so the camp's theme is The 3rd Day.. referring to the resurrection of Jesus Christ..

we studied the Ecclesiastes which kept directing life is meaningless.. one good example is the game of Snake and Ladders.. like how fast you can climb the ladder to reach the top but all you need is just a snake to bring you back all the way down.. there are many things in life that is meaningless and is a chase after the wind.. we work so hard in life to eat and we eat to have energy to work and the cycle continues.. isnt all these for nothing when afterall we will die in the end ? so since everything in life is meaningless, why not just eat, drink and be merry ?? if you just think about it, life is ''just a few days''.. learn to number your days.. every day that pass, we are one day closer to our death..

we also were minded how important it is for the resurrection to occur.. ask you ar.. when you tell people of Jesus that He died on the cross for our sins and so on.. do you remember to mention that He resurrected too ? as for me, i tend to forget about that part.. but the resurrection is very important !! it shows that the God that we believe in is a Living God !!

and we had mini-talks on other religions and how they look at life after death..

we also had "resurrection on trial" whereby we played as though we were lawyers and had to defend our statement.. we were given accusations against the resurrection on Jesus and we had to come up with witnesses to defend.. it was quite interesting really..

have you ever wonder how much pain Jesus went thru when He was on the cross ? i mean we always know that He was in pain.. But to what extent do we feel it ? i read this document where this modern doctor was explaining all the medical terms and only if you can imagine the image.. it is gross..

well, i fell sick and a church camp feels funny without you guys.. this feeling of loniness is really pathetic.. o wellz..

2)If possible, try to jot down your thoughts as you read, else you'll end up like a short termed memory kid.

3) Come for Monthly discussions.
The first one is on DECEMBER 28TH 2007

4) Every month, someone will post his/her thoughts/views for that book on this blog. So, for months with many books, there'll be many reviews! Hurhur. don't hide. There's more than enough books to go round for every single one to be featured at least once.

well, it won't work if every single one of us don't participate yea!
yup yup! PUT this in our resolution list for the rest of this year and next year!

if its successful, we'll go on to the old testament next year :D

haha wanna express a deeply heart-felt appreciation to you guys for the NS-video yesterday. Although imprompto, (ahahaha 7.30pm on saturday hehe) I know it's an effort of great care, thought and concern, and i wanna thank you guys for that.

It sure was weird seeing you guys up front feeling umcomfortable and awkward, and hearing the funny ehem voices in the video. But it sure is weirder seeing my "old self" in the photo. SIGH. We have all grown up and sort of matured in our own ways and soon chooing our different paths into the society. But wadever it holds for all of us in the futire, lets promise to remain together :D I love you guys loads!!! Solomon knights forever!!

perhaps, most of all wanna thank everyone for willing to open up and share during the lil' sharing session :) really appreciate the fact tt we all touch on our personal history a bit here and thr and seriously, this gathering has confirmed my fears [?!] tt i duno the class welll enough.. hah but i guess tt's why we have a lifetime tgt to discover more yeah? :D

well, it's really great to knw how much our class has gone thru tgt and how far we have come since the start of solomon knights in lower sec.. was browsing thru some pics just nw and realise tt we werent really so bonded in 2004 but things have changed so much in a couple of years.. yepz yepz! :) i want you all to be the ones who see me laugh, zi-high, go crazy [all of which u probably have] and also the ones who will see me get angry, frustrated, sad, cry, flare up etc etc..

yeppz thanx for being a huge part of my life and hey, nxt yr NS yr for some of us also must continue to care for us hor! haha :)

today's sermon was terribly gd! haha.. ok pardon my use of adverb 'terribly'

my key takeaway was tt from the time we have acknowledged our salvation till the time God comes again, it's a vvvv trying period and we gotta make sure we dun lose our train ticket!!! coz we like just hold on to wat we want and wat we hope for and dun wanna let go and hence after a while we lose track of wat is the really impt stuff... so we open our handbags/backpacks.. look for our wallets, reply an sms, read a book, drink some water and then the ticket just flies away unnoticed... be vigilant! the train ticket cannot be lost!!!

yeahh ppl... wonder what you all learnt... can share a bit here lorrz :)
